Happy Wednesday, Truthseekers!
Why is Obama falling so severely in the polls? Is it due to Fying Monkey Right domination of the media??
Is health care reform dead? Is the Democratic Party dead? What might happen if a GOP Revolution sweeps Washington, DC in the next few elections . . . should we accept the inevitable and let them have it, wait to see how “bad” it gets before the nation realizes the NeoCons have nothing for the working class American?
We’ll discuss these and other issues on the program tonight! 877-996-2556!

You said “polls.”
obama’s numbers are falling because the kool-aid is wearing off and the public is starting to perceive the truth. we have been punked.

Should’ve voted for Mike Gravel.
I really don’t know quite how to express how I feel or what words to use.
I can say when Obama was on the long campaign trail first with hope and change then this morphed into change we can believe with even certain talk show hosts saying the cried after voting out of joy.
All I could find out about Obama was two books which when I asked this is what I was refered to and his rather short and un-attended presence in the senate because of the long campaign. Nothing much there.
I don’t know who the hell he is really.
To spend a year hammering a health ins re-form into something that makes sense has become a sheet of copper hammered so thin that it is now broken.
Look, after 8 years of GW the last thing people in this country need are anymore surprizes or guess work and this is what we now have. What we don’t need is to visit a palm reader and HOPE it all pans out.
To sell a product and then say the specs may change without notice or find the gas pedal sticks is just what this feels like to me. This is to say will shutting the ign off save the day or is the brick wall the only other option?
The President frustrates me to no end.
In Baltimore, he hands the Republicans their asses. The next thing you hear is that he is threatening (?) “recess appointments”!
WTF don’t you understand Mr. President? In all of your years spent educating yourself, did you miss the class on “common sense”?
A few lessons from a course on common sense might be:
1) Don’t try pissing up a rope, 2)Don’t piss into the wind,
3) If you are trying to pound in a nail and keep hitting your thumb with the hammer, either quit hammering or move your hand!
What should you do, Mr. President?
1) Quit the bi-partisan B.S. and throw the Republicans, the Blue Dogs, and Joe Lieberman under the bus!
2) Do, do the recess appointments. The “Shrub” did it without a second thought, (or a first thought for that matter)!
3) Move the peoples agenda (you know, the ones who worked to get you elected) forward, through reconciliation.
4) Work to end the Senate filibuster. Start, if you MUST, with a speech, but move quickly to ass kicking and arm breaking (oh, I meant arm twisting), to get it done!
5) Shake up YOUR Cabinet. Get rid of the DLC-Rubanites, and the racketeering enabler, Ben Bernanky.
If you do this, the Republicans will come crawling back, begging for another chance. DON’T be fooled, stomp on their fingers and kick them in the nuts, make sure they know who is in charge!
As the slogan goes, “Just Do It”!
PS. Take some lessons from the dog trainer Cesar Millan! You, Mr. President, must become the alpha dog, to control the pack of fools on the hill!
It’s funny that you would write that. My husband and I were having this very conversation a few days ago and he said that we should just let them have it all, then when everything turns to complete sh**, we can say “there, you had you’re chance & you f***ed it all up. Now let us show you how it’s done”. It may be easier that way because it would be almost like starting from scratch. Also, they couldn’t blame it on the liberals for a change.
Mike,
The drummer for The Who is Zach Starkey; the son of Ringo Starr.
A perfect example of the fact that you lefties are children, living in a dream world is the issue of pre-existing conditions.
Do you really believe everyone should have access to every possible procedure to cure every single medical issue that anyone ever happens to have, past, present or future? What happens to the baby who will need hundreds of millions of dollars to keep alive in a vegetative state for 70 years? Don’t you understand that someone has to pay for it?
When you take a rich man’s money away to pay for a poor fellow’s health care, the incentive to work hard and become rich is eliminated. If there will be no benefit to achieving wealth, who will bust their butt to produce?
Ever drive a Yugo? The Soviet system turned everyone into zombies, just going through the motions. Quality be damned. Nobody is treated any differently from anyone else, regardless of the quality or effort of the work they do. Folks soon realized they get no bigger pay check if they do a better job, so why bother?
What, you think some other system will be more fair? You point to other countries that appear to be doing a better job of delivering health care to more of the citizens more equally, but you forget to mention those countries don’t have any of the other financial or sociological challenges. Apples and oranges, Skippy.
You shout “unfair” like a child. Things will never be 100% fair. I admire your enthusiasm, but adults understand the lifeboat analogy. If you pull too many people up into the boat, the boat will sink and all the folks in the boat die. It is not a happy concept, but adults realize the danger in blindly pulling everyone out of the water, up into the boat. There are just too many in the water.
Of course I would not be happy about this reality if I were in the water…but it is what it is. Screaming really loudly against this truth is as helpful as wishing on a star.
Yes, there are abuses within the system. This is where we need to focus our attention. The reason you libs are doomed to fail is because you point to the problems with the system and want to throw the whole thing out and try something else.
Baby, bath water…
Rational folks in this country understand the value of the ideas and concepts behind the way we order our society and are very careful of any radical departures from it.
It is clear that many liberal/progressive ideas are very often penny wise, pound foolish. Thankfully, there are still enough calm, thinking people left to say no. Sometimes, the parents must say no, even if the child screams “unfair!”
