Monday Musings

As we brace for another wave of wintry weather in the deep South, we marvel at the blatant, almost proud ignorance of the regional dittoheads who build “Al Gore” memorial igloos and snowmen.  Look Bubba, we know your hero Bush bragged about being a “C” student and a drunk fratboy who went AWOL and racked up DUIs and never succeeded in any professional endeavor yet still made it to the White House, but do you have to embrace his anti-intellectual rally cry by tossing every scientific study out the window?  Okay, there’s no mention of global climate change in the Bible, but seriously – the snow is a product of increased water in the atmosphere, as a result of increased evaporation, as a result of increased (wait for it . . . ) temperatures.  Wow.  Really not that difficult to grasp, unless you’re a Fox “news” fanatic.

While we’re waiting for the snowfall tonight, we’ll discuss the latest tragic earthquake, this time in Chile, the use of reconciliation to settle the health care reform matter once and for all, Obama’s plan for education reform, and the latest rounds of Congressional resignations.

Join the fun and frivolity!  Call 877-996-2556!

Bunning again held up jobless benefits. One man. One vote. Stopped the legislation. One man. One.

The Senate rules are atavistic and absurd. Harry Reid is inept to the point of laughability. The Democrats in general are cowards and corporate fluff girls.

Suggestion: Abolish the Senate. Or make the Senate largely ceremonial window-dressing, like the British did with the House of Lords. Under no circumstances should these senile old fools have any say whatsoever over anything important. They have already abdicated their duty on declaring war.

Knowing of the extinguished senator from Kentucky (the Ber in pattyber is a Kentucky native), i can say with a certain degree of knowledgeable authority what manner of person Jim Bunning is.

    Hall of Famer

    Alledged wife-beater.

    King Douchebag.

Senator Bunning is definitely deranged. Take politics, democracy, patriot and humanity out of the equation of Bunning’s thinking in which he has non of these qualities and you have a very sick individual. An individual with grossly atrocious behavior. I am very ashamed to say that we have a person like this in our government.

What is happening to our elected officials?? A bigger question is what is happening to our country?

Bunning is trying to make the point that the money has to come from some where, and that the spending has to stop. With that I agree, but I thik his choice of battle ground is absurd.

    Hi Mike!!
Another incredible week in the declining small business infrastructure of america. In less than 3 days I reviewed 20 Samll business relationships that are heading for bankruptcy, charge off and term out.
Revenue has decreased so much that business can no longer support american families.
Run away costs for CORE living requirments-
    1-health care
    2-food
    3-Fuel
    4-Apparel

leaves a negative cash flow for increasing segments of the entire economy.

    result—larger forclosure rolls–which is a fact,
    result—longer and larger unemployment rolls.
    Which is FACT.

The end of this mess is no where to be found.
War must end—it is creating a Debt situation of catistrophic proporations—-debt servicing –and military spending make the heatlh care issue look like peanuts.
End the wars……invest in America, american education, American technology, American infrastructure—
and the future will be ours to capture again…..
If investment is not planned for now—we will not come out ahead….and it is already scary–as to where we as a nation will end up…
    Steve the banker…
    Very tired.

I heard some time ago that Bunning is not running for re-election so he would not care much for what he says or does. In that case, what he would like to do as it looks like before he leaves office is to screw up the American people and the Obama Administration.

So Mike, what can the people do with this scum bag if the people will not be able to get even with him by not re-electing him? I also think that the Republican party is using him since he is not going to lose any by doing what he wants to do.

    IT IS TRUE!

All these years I used to put water in the freezer to make ice, but after you explained it to me, I realized that just putting the water on the counter will also work. You don’t need cold to make ice, you need heat!

Bless you Mike! You enlightened me to a whole new world of science! Bless you!
