When will President Obama take charge of this disaster? Why is he only now meeting with British Petroleum CEO Tony Hayward? Perhaps he’ll let Hayward know it’s not acceptable for BP to issue orders to the US military. Ever.
Didn’t the Framers of the Constitution have something to say about entangling foreign alliances? I’m sure they never meant for foreign-owned corporations to take charge of the US military. Is there better proof that the USA has been broken into a nation controlled by corporations?

One could trace “the evolution of this insanity” back to the inception of the CIA and take note of some of the inexplicable happenings of the past 60, or so, years.

I was just listening to your commentary about the crash of British Petroleaum investors stocks. This will affect so much more then it already has, and will continue to as the current winds. I am in Oregon, far from the tradgedy, and even being a lowly bar staff worker, it is affecting so much. People are very disheartened by what is going on, and what has happened, and feel nothing but helpless. This issue is so much larger then our need, and constant devouring attitude towards nature, and what it provides; It will have consequences that will not only be felt by bp investors, and locals, but will completely devastate and change an eco-system that we barely even have begun to understand. I listen to the governer of FL worry about the tourism, and I think… “THAT…is your concern?!” Yes, we all want to live and feed ourselves, but it is our all consuming way of being, without thought on how it is made to happen, that has contributed to thoughtless, unregulated need & production, that has created this disaster. How anyone, rich or homeless, can look at a photo of a dolphin who has a tongue so swollen with oiled death..and wonder about THEIR pension, is beyond me.
I say, enjoy your blood soaked check./ Next time, invest in something that is actually progressive.
