Happy Monday, Truthseekers!
Seems all is not well with BP’s “Top Hat 10″ and pressure tests seem to indicate there is a separate leak under the ocean floor that is seeping oil. Rumor has it not even a relief well will stop that kind of disaster. What will happen if there is literally no way to stop the flow of petrol?
And Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams is too racist even for the Tea Party. The National Tea Party Federation (whatever the heck that is) threw Williams out on his bony white saucer following his uber-racist post written from “coloreds” to Abraham Lincoln pleading for a return to slavery. Williams claimed there was no authority to throw him out, because – in true Libertarian idiotic fashion – he claimed that there is no tea party leadership and every “partier” is a leader. He might as well just throw on a sheet and call it a day.
We’ll also discuss the disturbing rise in suicides of our troops overseas, the future of unemployment benefits, and the problem with US “intelligence” on the program tonight!

“US ‘intelligence’” is SUCH an oxymoron!
you can count on us being there!I can’t wait…there is so much going on!”see” everyone then!
Hey Mike!
My unemployment benefits were recently ended after only 26 weeks. With my age being 59, and this job market, I can’t imagine anyone would hire me. It really sucks. I hear people complaining about 99 weeks! I would have loved to get that!
Horrible stats about the suicides of our troops. Makes me so angry, and so sad.
Oakland is on the map once more. Props to Oakland – although it is overshadowed by its more glamorous sister to the west, San Francisco, Oakland is a jewel in its own right. The air is clean and the climate mild. There are many parks. Numerous creeks run down from the Oakland hills to the bay.
The social history is interesting too. The Black Panthers came up out of west Oakland. Their later history was blighted, but at first it was Huey Newton, a law student, following the cops around, staying a legal distance away, ready to inform citizens if police tried to run roughshod over their rights. They gave free breakfasts to school children.
Oakland gets a bad name, but it has got some great points. Come and visit!!
truthaddict, sorry to hear about your situation. I hope you find some good work that you enjoy soon. I’m about to turn 44 and I’ve been out of work for 3.5 years. I never received any unemployment, so even 26 weeks would have been great, and I know what you mean about those complaining about only getting 99 weeks of unemployment. Here’s hoping we both find work soon!
I have a family member who has been unemployed for at least the last two years, whose situation is not looking any better. I consider myself very fortunate to have what seems to be a secure job. But, it seems like the workload has increased to the point where I’m never caught up and work through my lunch about every day.
What are we going to do? I keep thinking, we have the raw materials — education, brains, training — if the government isn’t going to step in and provide a solution, can we not do it ourselves? I’m just saying — if, for example, money runs out for education — are there not enough educated people around to volunteer to teach some classes, and thereby lighten the load of a paid teacher? Can we start some cottage industries? Those of us who are in a position to help need to pitch in. If we can get some grass roots going, we can make real change.
Mike and Kathy,
I was driving and I missed all the info about the global warming/methane discussion.
Do you have any links?
Thank you.
