Monday Monday

Good Monday, Truthseekers!  Hot enough for ya?  What global climate change, right?  The Democrats in the Senate aren’t too concerned about it, so what’s the fuss about?  They’re much more concerned about protecting their own seats than protecting the environment, which is one topic on the table tonight.

And as Congress sends more money to fund the unwinanble “war” in Afghanistan, at what point do they realize there is absolutely no chance of anything remotely resembling “victory” in that historically unconquerable country?  When can the killing stop?  When can our troops come home and begin the long, painful process of rebuilding their broken lives?

Speaking of which, check out this from Wikileaks.

All this and more on th program tonight!  Join the Fun and Frivolity, cal 877-996-2556!

    The correct answer is:

When the draft is reinstated and people start loosing their own children.
Only then will we start paying attention, ask questions and demand accountability.

This could lead to a whole new industry…REPORTING the NEWS.

Suicide rate is up among the “99ers” during this awful recession. Item today about it at HuffPo.

Sorry Lee Harvey, I just went to HuffPo an seen a huge headline “Wall Street Bailout Guru: Time to Cut Social Security”

And then I seen that freak Tony Robbins teaming up with Arriana for some positive thinking.

I had to get away from HuffPo, too depressing and too “don’t worry be happy” for me.

The killing will not end as long as there is an American Empire. Empires can’t live without killing. We’ve been on this path since Plymouth Rock. Our empire of corporatacy kills with impunity agents of resistance everyday across the globe: ‘Scores die’ in Afghan village raid

A Nato rocket attack on a village in Afghanistan last week killed 52 civilians, including women and children, the office of Hamid Karzai, the Afghan president, has said in a statement.
Karzai has offered his condolences via telephone to the mourning families…

    Jul 26, 1947:
Truman signs the National Security Act
The National Security Act had three main parts. First, it streamlined and unified the nation’s military establishment by bringing together the Navy Department and War Department under a new Department of Defense. This department would facilitate control and utilization of the nation’s growing military. Second, the act established the National Security Council (NSC). Based in the White House, the NSC was supposed to serve as a coordinating agency, sifting through the increasing flow of diplomatic and intelligence information in order to provide the president with brief but detailed reports. Finally, the act set up the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The CIA replaced the Central Intelligence Group, which had been established in 1946 to coordinate the intelligence-gathering activities of the various military branches and the Department of State. The CIA, however, was to be much more–it was a separate agency, designed not only to gather intelligence but also to carry out covert operations in foreign nations. http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/truman-signs-the-national-security-act

I wonder what the Teabaggers are saying? Hmmm. FREE MONEY! LET THE WAR CONTINUE! But remember who’s in the White House…a KNEE-GROW! END THE WAR!

About the draft: I listen to “mom’s” because I’m not a mom and they seem to speak a language I don’t. I heard Cindy Sheehan say, she would not support re-instituting the draft because the same people who were able to get their children out of the draft before, will be able to get their children out of the next draft, just as all parents of a certain class have been able to “save” their children from “wars” forever in history.

I agree with Cindy Sheehan. I wonder if we’ll ever grow-up enough not to need “war” to satisfy that particular hunger.

    Peace

Has anyone heard about Dennis’ new route?

Cleveland, Ohio (July 26, 2010) – Congressman Dennis Kucinich announces that he and Congressman Ron Paul are joining in a cause focused at compelling the removal of U.S. military forces from Pakistan. Later this week, Congressman Kucinich will also support ending the War in Afghanistan by cutting off funding for the war.
