Don’t Add – Don’t Spell

President Obama hit the ground running today with a strong sales pitch for his  deficit-reduction plan which would raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans, explaining to the naysayers that “this is not class warfare – it’s math.”  Nice try, Mr. President, but thanks to Bush-era No Child Left Behind-style gutting of our education system, basic math is a skill that eludes most Teabaggers.

It is pointless to attempt to educate the brainwashed masses about the need to tax the wealthy at a rate comparable to what us lowly middle-and-lower class ‘mericans pay.  They’ll swallow whatever convoluted BS numbers Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity et al spew at them to convince them that they – not the rich – should bear the sole  burden of higher taxes to foster economic recovery.  It’s astonishing how these folk continue to vote against their own best interest.  Proof positive of the effective brainwashing by right-wing radio and the corporate media.

Also on the table tonight is the imminent execution of Troy Davis in Georgia.  Hundreds of thousands of people around the world have joined a social media campaign to stop his execution, currently scheduled for this Wednesday.  As USA Today reports: “Davis, 42, was convicted of the 1989 shooting death of Savannah, Ga., police officer Mark MacPhail. His supporters say he is innocent, noting that 10 witnesses in the case have signed affidavits recanting their testimony and indicating that police coerced them into implicating Davis. They also point out that nine people have signed affidavits implicating another man.”

Another amazing notable Neocon hypocrisy is how they can be so pro-life when it comes to a embryo or petri dish of stem cell and so pro-death when dealing with fully-actualized human beings. Such Christians, eh?  Who Would Jesus Execute?

And speaking of hypocrisy, we’ll examine again the compassionate conservative philosophy of allowing indigent people to die if they cannot afford health insurance premiums.

Andy, the U.S. is #1 at HYPOCRISY and ARROGANCE! 😛

Regarding the whole new “class warfare” whimpering from the rich bastards, all I can say is that’s one war I can honestly say I’d be willing to fight and die for! 😉

If you listen closely, you can hear all the violins in the Universe playing in sympathy for all the millionaires and billionaires that are feeling under attack. Fuck ’em!

America is #1 when it comes to people voting against their own best interests.

America is #1 when it comes to working class people who won’t fight back when the ruling class declares all out war on them.

America is #1 when it comes to people not understanding that the only democracy we have gained in this country came from struggles and movements. And that if we don’t continue to struggle, form movements and hold our elected officials accountable for their actions, then we will lose all the democratic gains we made in the last 100 years.

Sure, Andy, and for every three shirts you purchase, you’ll receive a bumper sticker such as “WAL-MART Workers for Lower Corporate Taxes!” or “If we lower taxes for the wealthy, they will create more jobs like they did in the last decade” or “American Workers for the Movement of More US Jobs Overseas.”

The Innocence Project is a non-profit legal clinic affiliated with the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and created by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld in 1992. The project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. As a clinic, law students handle case work while supervised by a team of attorneys and clinic staff.

Ray Krone was sentenced to death for the 1991 murder of a bartender in Phoenix, Ariz.

He spent the next decade in prison, most of it in a 6-by-8 foot cell where he was given his meals through a hole in the wall. On several occasions, he was beaten in prison, once breaking his arm, and had been stabbed several times by inmates, he said.

    But he didn’t do it.

Krone, 54, originally from York, Pa., was exonerated in 2002 by DNA evidence that proved someone else committed the crime.

Now a spokesman for the anti-death penalty group Witness to Innocence, Krone travels the nation telling his story, which he shared with students of Lafayette College and Lehigh University last week.

The problem is, is these traders that moved there factories over seas to avoid taxes and to cash in on cheap labor. Solution; they need to be penalized by taxing the hell out of them, imports coming in to this country need to be taxed and need to be penalized even more for cheep labor and that tax money needs to go to subsidize good faithful american companies. This is the point that needs to be brought up over and over, this is the root of everything. I remember when Clinton passed NAFTA thats when things kinda went down, when Bush took office everybody and i mean everybody ran for the border and if they didnt they would get shut down and why wouldnt they they cant compete with cheap labor and no taxes…….A strong country needs these companies back and most of all we need there taxes back yes yes yes we need there taxes this is how we survive by taxes and it cant just be the poor and middle class paying we need these companies back and tax the traders that are over seas and use that money to subsidize the loyal companies that stay here.
