Welcome to church Night, Dearly Beloved Truthseekers! Mike has some particularly prosaic passages to share with you for our weekly Wednesday night prayer meeting.

We will remember the tragic day 12 years ago when 19 (mostly Saudi) terrorists claimed the lives of 3,000 of our citizens and permanently scarred our nation.

It is doubly tragic that this horrendous event, which gathered the nations of the world behind us, was quickly exploited by the Bush Crime Family to justify the preemptive strike on Iraq, turning much of the world against us.

What a difference a decade or so makes.

Remember the many many times Dubya or his consigliores took to the telescreens to hammer home the message that we must “never forget 9-11” and the “evildoers” who conspired against us?  We cannot forget.  Not only because of the innocent victims, or the damage that was done to our national psyche that day, but also because it marked the day we embarked on our never-ending terror wars.

Once heralded as defenders of freedom, civil liberties, and humanitarianism, we are now better known for our domestic spy tactics, human rights abuses, war crimes, and unending violence against non-provocative sovereign nations and innocent civilians.  With GITMO and Abu Graib and drone strikes, our actions serve as virtual terrorist recruiting posters.

And now comes Syria, the next target on Obama’s “kill list.”  What fresh he;; can be expected in this new theater? Common Dreams reports:

President Obama often claims credit for ending the war in Iraq and bringing the troops home. Yet the war is not ended for those who served. Every day 22 veterans and service members kill themselves in the United States. Suicide is at epidemic levels, the death toll surpassing those killed on 9-11. No one claims credit for this. And Iraq is in chaos. Car bombs and suicide bombers kill dozens on a nearly daily basis. One thousand people died in July alone. The war is not over, though America has moved on.

Those responsible for the illegal war on Iraq remain free. Their lies have been exposed. Their crimes are obvious. Rather prosecute these men and women, Obama said he believed “We need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards.” There is expediency in looking forward, especially when your administration will take up the policies of your predecessor and continue to act in unlawful and immoral ways. Drone attacks now kill in Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Somalia. The President reviews a “kill list” on a weekly basis. Targeted assassination is the norm. Innocent men remain imprisoned in Guantánamo. Libya is decimated after our humanitarian intervention.

Syria, already in shattered from war, is now under threat of an American attack. After two years of watching the carnage unfold, an American red line has finally been surpassed. In the lead up to bombing, there has been little looking ahead and many calls to never forget.

President Obama claims our ideals, principles, and “world leadership” are at stake in Syria.

Laying out his moral justification for a cruise missile attack, on the eve of Sept 11th, Obama had the audacity to claim, “America is not the world’s policeman. Terrible things happen across the globe, and it is beyond our means to right every wrong. But when, with modest effort and risk, we can stop children from being gassed to death, and thereby make our own children safer over the long run, I believe we should act. That’s what makes America different. That’s what makes us exceptional. With humility, but with resolve, let us never lose sight of that essential truth.”

With humility and resolve Americans should deal honestly with our past, with our present, and with our dire future. With modest effort and risk we can make the future safer for all children. We can do this by simply demanding accountability of our leaders and recognizing the only thing that is exceptional about America is our inability to see other’s lives as valuable as our own.

An exceedingly well done, comprehensive and succinct picture, Kathy Malloy, of the grim, stomach-churning Middle East scenario which our current president appears driven to aggravate as blindly, naively, ignorantly, callously, arrogantly, cowardly–and destructively as his feeble-minded, greed-driven predecessor George W. Bush was.

“We will remember the tragic day 12 years ago when 19 (mostly Saudi) terrorists claimed the lives of 3,000 of our citizens and permanently scarred our nation.”

If one believes the official story, KBM.

There were no “19 (mostly Saudi) terrorists” doing impossible things like breaking the laws of physics on 9/11. There were only patsies.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 77 departed Dulles International Airport bound for Los Angeles at 8:20 am Eastern Time. According to reports and data, a hijacking took place between 08:50:54 and 08:54:11[1] in which the hijackers allegedly crashed the aircraft into the Pentagon at 09:37:45. Reported by CNN, according to Ted Olson, wife Barbara Olson had called him from the reported flight stating, “…all passengers and flight personnel, including the pilots, were herded to the back of the plane by armed hijackers…”[2]. However, according to Flight Data provided by the NTSB, the Flight Deck Door was never opened in flight.

How were the hijackers able to gain access to the cockpit, remove the pilots, and navigate the aircraft to the Pentagon if the Flight Deck Door remained closed?

There are many, many questions that remain unanswered.

      1) How were those buildings able to fall in freefall, or, in other words, at the speed of gravity? Buildings like that fall like that only in a controlled demolition.

      2) Why was there molten metal under the wreckage for weeks after the attacks, when the fires inside those buildings weren’t even hot enough to melt steel in the first place?

      3) Why did World Trade Center #7, the one not even hit by a plane, collapse? It was on fire, but never in serious danger of collapsing like it did.

      4) Why did NORAD fail to scramble interceptors to go after the hyjacked planes? I haven’t found my documentation at this moment, but if I remember correctly, they were given orders to stand down. Either by Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld. Control of NORAD had been given to one them before 9-11, and then given back shortly after.

      5) George Bush remained at that Florida school, which was a highly publicized location, for a good 30 minutes after news broke of the attack. Not that I give a goddamn about Bushs sorry ass, but where the hell was the Secret Service, and why did they get him the hell out of there?

That’s just a few of the unanswered questions. There are so many more that I can’t even begin to count them all. But I want to say this: Anybody that believes the official story that 19 fundamentalist Muslims defeated our national security state, which cost billions and billions of dollars, is a fucking delusional idiot. And if that story was actually true, the fact that they managed to defeat all 16 US intelligence agencies is the single, largest failure in history of this planet. This would have been the most humilating defeat ever, and yet all one has to do is look at the total and complete smug arrogance of the Bush Crime Family. And I’ll add this as well: George W. Bush is a goddamned murderer. So is Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condaleeza Rice, and Colin Powell. All of you are murderers. If there is a god as you claim, all of you will have your own special section of hell for you to enjoy. I just wish I could believe in that god this one time.

        Just a bit more…
No Steel beamed skyscraper had ever fallen
due to fire. NEVER EVER. We had a three-fer
all in half a day. Even if the fires had been
hot enough to melt the steel super-structures
of those buildings, they should have leaned
and twisted at their weakest points, and NOT
fallen into their own footprints. OOPS.

  3. Willy Scanlon

9/11 was preventable. The problem was and still is the arrogance that is America. Bush and Cheney did not believe that a mere non military group of men could do such a deed, so they ignored the intelligence. Same in the Middle East Americans know little about Bedouin culture but they think they are experts. They are not an we Muslims laugh at you all everyday as you bumble your way to disaster.
