The Day Democracy Died, or just the death of the GOP? The outrage over the sham “trial” and failure of these Senators to fulfill their constitutional duties might push Democrats to the polls in sufficient numbers to overcome whatever voter suppression they attempt.
Then again, the entire demoralizing event could have the opposite effect, with a despondent electorate that feels Its powerless against the orange juggernaut and stays home in November.
Either way, America will never be the same again.
